At Sun Coffee Roasters, being a part of the Organic Fair Trade movement wouldn't be complete if we didn't do all we could to produce a superior product. That's our ultimate goal with every ounce of finely roasted coffee we produce. To achieve this, we select only the choicest coffee beans. We then use a highly advanced roaster, grinder, and our Just-In-Time delivery system to put the freshest, most flavorful coffee in your hands.

Roasting Technology
Our highly advanced roasting methods begin with our highly advanced roaster. We use the traditional roasting method, combining both heat and air. A typical roast takes between 15 to 18 minutes, is computer controlled for consistency, and features high carbon steel fins and drum which delivers an even roast to all beans. We're currently the only roaster in the country using this specialty roaster made entirely in the U.S. Sun Coffee Roasters' technology is second to none.
We also employ a high-end grinder with water-cooled European heads. This allows us to produce any grind, even for espresso without changing the integrity and flavor of the coffee. And the water-cooled grinder keeps the grinder heads at room temperature effectively eliminating the scalding of the coffee. The coffee beans are ground to perfection.
Packaging Technology
From short run to private labeling, our packaging technology allows us the flexibility to deliver several different package sizes. Our packaging plan revolves around our made-to-order roasting abilities, which means that coffee never sits on our shelves. It is on its way to you as soon as the bags are sealed. What’s more, Sun Coffee Roasters is proud to use environmentally friendly packaging film.
Just In Time
Getting coffee at its peak freshness means getting it roughly within 12 days of it being roasted. Our Just-In-Time manufacturing and short run packaging abilities allow for made-to-order deliveries that arrive within days. We'll work with you to develop a schedule that allows you to provide the freshest coffee to your customers.
Recycling and Energy Efficiency
Doing what’s right for the earth isn't just limited to supporting Organic and Fair Trade farmers (OFT). Our equipment is incredibly energy efficient, using less energy and natural gas than standard roasters. We’ve minimized our emissions and recycle everything from corrugated boxes and film, to the burlap bags that our coffee comes in. And we use environmentally friendly packaging film. This allows us to lower our carbon footprint.
