Certified Organic Fair
Trade Coffee Blends
Several roasters dabble in the Organic Fair Trade segment and offer a limited line of certified Organic or Fair Trade coffees and blends. While we applaud them for recognizing the need to move in this direction, Sun Coffee Roasters, as a dedicated certified Organic Fair Trade roaster, has a different philosophy. We have developed an expertise in the Organic Fair Trade segment and this has become the loci of our focus. At Sun Coffee Roasters, we strongly believe in the Organic Fair Trade mission to help promote global sustainability. And we know firsthand that it is possible to roast high quality Organic Fair Trade coffee that meets, and even exceeds, every consumers demanding taste and to do it at a price all coffee lovers can afford.
In fact, 90% of our certified organic coffee blends (unless otherwise noted) meet the strict Organic Fair Trade requirements. And many of our coffee blends are also available in Swiss Water Process Decaf.
Sumatra Manhelding
This classic extra bold coffee has an earthy, aromatic flavor that is concentrated with a full body and little or no acidity. Sumatran coffee often contains herbal nuances that add to its richness and accentuate its body.
French Roast
This extra bold dark roast has a smoky, yet sweet flavor that is drawn out in Sun Coffee Roasters exacting all-American one of a kind state-of-the-art Deidrich Coffee Roaster. The simple aroma has a hint of dark chocolate evoking a smooth sweet, yet pungent finish. Also available as a traditional non-organic.
Sun City Coffee™
Our Sun City Coffee™ is a perennial favorite enjoining the best of Latin American coffees in a light roast combination. It is bright and clean with a rich smooth taste and medium acidity. It has a pleasing aroma and a truly enjoyable finish. Also available as non-organic. SUN City is a great coffee any time of day.
Gold Coast Guatemalan™
As a lightly roasted bean Gold Coast Guatemalan™ stimulates the senses with a medium bodied, yet mild, bright taste. This roast is perfect with dessert especially cheeses and berries. Also available as non-organic.
Colombian
Colombia is synonymous with great coffee and its reputation is well deserved. Year in and year out, the growers produce truly great beans. It is always clean and well balanced with a medium intensity, full body and rich aroma. It is not the most popular coffee in America for any other reason than great taste. Also available in decaf and non-organic.
Vanilla Nut
Anyone who loves vanilla will appreciate the nutty nuanced flavors and sweet, creamy body of our most popular flavored coffee. It is a pleasing roast with balanced acidity and a soothing satisfying aftertaste. Also available in decaf and non-organic.
Heavenly Hazelnut™
Our Heavenly Hazelnut™ coffee has a nutty-sweet aroma and conjures up the well-known toasted, buttery hazelnut flavor that coffee drinkers prefer. One taste will have you longing for the heavenly comfort of a warm fire. Also available in decaf and non-organic.
Brazillian
Brazil offers the coffee lover a wide variety and choices of Arabica beans, allowing Sun Coffee Roasters to develop blends that suit the palate of our customers, or roast a full origin crop when the harvest merits. Perfect for specialty coffees, Brazilian beans have a mild to medium intensity, often display a hint of chocolate or rustic fruit and have a moderate finish. Also available as non-organic.
Costa Rica
Start with a clean, lively finish accompanied by a medium intensity that is accentuated by fruit and you have a classic Costa Rican coffee. Celebrate over 200 years of Central America’s finest coffee plantations.
Peruvian
Known for its subtle sweetness, this mild coffee has a tangy aroma and medium acidity, which is never aggressive. Peruvian coffees produce a well-rounded cup and bring out the best in other beans in a blend.
Nicaraguan Coffee
Renowned for its great body, clean flavor, and balance, Nicaraguan coffees are unique among other coffees cultivated in Central America. In fact, SHG grade coffees (Strictly High Grown) have a less pronounced acidity complemented by a slightly rustic fruited layer. They have body and balance and show their range from Light City to our rich dark Vienna roast.
Mexican
Mexican beans offer a full flavored and balanced coffee with a smooth finish. Often the beans exhibit fruited scents with subtle but distinct chocolate notes with a medium intensity accompanied by a slight nutty taste.
Yemen
Best for discerning palates, this coffee has earthy tones with a very subtle chocolate finish. Yemeni coffees are some of the most distinct and prized coffees in the world, evoking East African sensibilities, and are considered a little wild. The complex, pungent aromas are delightful. Brew it in cafetiere or vacuum pot to maximize its rich flavor.
Mocha Java
Mocha Java beans exhibit the earthy tones and well-balanced sweetness that have enthralled coffee lovers for generations. This pure blend of Sumatran and Yemen coffees perfectly roasted to bring out the fine flavors of each region. They complement each other so well that they have become one of the world’s oldest blends
Kenya AA
Some coffee lovers argue that they can always recognize the bold intensity and citrusy flavor of a Kenyan coffee. Perhaps it is the grapefruit that heralds its bright finish and makes this the perfect drink on a hot summer day, cold winter day, or for that matter, any day.

Snickerdoodle
A fan favorite, we blend the spicy flavors of cinnamon and hazelnut for a smooth aromatic coffee that satisfies any time of the year.
